All last week it rained and rained and rained some more. I almost forgot what it was like to live amongst so much moisture. I tried to capture just how much it was raining, but with a not-so-state-of-the-art camera, it doesn't do it justice (do you just love our view of the 90?). But after a few days of it, I began to realize just how much I've grown accustomed to the sun. I really missed it! And couldn't wait for it to come back. There were also a few things I learned about myself while stuck inside: I'm not very good at coming up with creative projects for my kids to do (any ideas would be welcome); getting up at 5:30am to work-out and being pregnant do not mix well with me (sorry Christa!); I really enjoy having a front yard that my kids could go out and enjoy; I love not having to wear socks with my shoes; and I really, really enjoy nice weather!
(disclaimer: this in no way lessens my love of Portland. I still miss it and everyone in it.)

Wait. What? Pregnant? Congratulations!
And....I do love the sun. I didn't know how very much I love the sun until I moved to Colorado. Portland is green...but oh, how I LOVE the sun!
I love how Clark will smile for the camera now, and Grace is 100% girl with her poses! I should have come around during some of those rainy days, its always better when you all get crammed in together :)
You smell your feet for sun down there?! Okay, we're totally not coming to visit you now... :)
Is that an orange tree in your backyard? Jealousy. Miss you guys too, why don't you come visit and bring some of that Cali sun with you?
I meant for fun, not sun.
I love Graces pose! She is going to be a heartbreaker! If I had kids your age and was a stay at home mom, just once I would have them help me get my lesson ready for Sunday. Get it from their perspective. I think that would be fun for my class to learn from! That would be my suggestion, but i just remembered you are now the primary pianist...so nevermind! You can still do that for my lesson though! I'll let ya!
We too are addicted to the sun now. I'm not good with rainy days either- we usually end up watching movies and making cookies! And I love your view of the freeway. Nice.
So i went into Joanns the other day and they have tons of crafts that look like so much fun that are pretty inexpensive! Remember those iron beads and painting glass?? Well that wasnt very descriptive but you should check it out! It looked like something Grace would really enjoy, i know i would!
