Snow Day

If we were playing by the rules today, we would be at church. But due to the inclement weather, and a very concerned bishop, they decided to cancel church. I just have to laugh, because we have gone to church in much worse. But here in the northwest, they are not equip to deal with it. I think there's about an inch out there now. The question now is whether Andy will get a snow day tomorrow? It sure has been nice to be home and actually take it easy on the day of rest.

This week for Grace's preschool field trip, we went to see Santa. As you can tell from the pictures, Grace is not quite ready to sit on his lap. She wouldn't even talk to him, I had to do all the asking for her (she wants a kitchen and a pink umbrella, I think Santa will come through). And I didn't even attempt to get Clark on his lap. I knew that outcome. Merry Christmas to all!

Yahoo!! Isn't snow fun, when you don't have to drive in it.

That is so funny! I love to stay home on a nice cold snowy day. I, like you, did not even attempt to put Trey on Santa's lap too. I didn't want to deal with it. Good luck in the inch of snow!

That is too funny! Our church also got canceled. We both bloged about it too. I was like you and laughed about no church. I hope that you enjoyed your day at home.

I think everyone in our ward enjoyed our "day of rest" :) I couldn't help laughing when I read your blog about how busy Sundays are. It's so true. Maybe come January we can all take family naps in the afternoon. With your husband in the bishopric now I hope that will be possible for you too. Good luck!

Did you guys go out and play in the snow? I'm a native Oregonian and even I laugh at the way people scurry around in panic at the slight bit of snow... But, I only like the snow on the days I don't have to go anywhere of course! I'm just wondering if Andy is home today b/c the city has pretty much shut down?

I'm not even going to get Ryley near Santa but I'm sure Masiey will put in a good word for her brother- if we make it to Cedat Hills now that the "conditions" outside aren't as welcoming!

I love how they shut the state down for an inch of snow. You can still see little blades of grass in the picture. AND you can still see the road! Enjoy it.
