food for thought

I've known for a long time that when it comes to eating, Grace and Clark couldn't be more opposite. So today when I was getting their lunch ready, it struck me that
this is a classic example. I usually will ask Grace what she wants (only for lunch mind you). Today she asked for a hot dog with a bun, but without the hot dog. While Clark will only eat the hot dog plain. Silly kids! Before having them, I never realized just how picky and opinionated kids could be about food. Who knew!?!

Food drives me crazy with kids. Anna is just strating to get so picky about everything. I've finally started to tell her, "Well I guess you'll be hungry."

Kids will be kids. Mallory just walked in and saw the blog and said, "When can we see those guys again?" I hope soon!

So - I never realized it, but I was just like Grace. I remember wanting hot dog buns, with out the dog. Weird... And then, the other day, I grabbed a corn dog from A&W for a quick snack at work. When I got towards the end, I didn't want the hot dog anymore, just the deep fried corn bread. Moral of the story - Don't be surprised if Grace ever grows out of it. :)

One more thing, Jazlyn wants me to have you say hi to Grace for her. She still talks about her and misses her lots.

Well, at least you can buy dogs and buns and know that they will be eaten...even if it is separately, and by 2 different kids! I'm too nice to make my kids go hungry, but admittedly, they do every once and a while (when I just can't take being a short-order cook!)
